Lycan Legacy – Paladin Out for Final Edits

by | Jan 24, 2021 | Lycan Legacy

Hello Lunatics,

I’m excited to announce that the latest Luna book, Lycan Legacy – Paladin, is now out for final edits.

I pushed to get it completed by the end of 2020, but that year was horrible for everybody. Both my editor and cover designer had challenges that delayed our work.

But I can’t lay the blame on them. The delays were my fault. I apologize to those of you who were disappointed at the lack of Luna adventures.

Despite the challenges that life threw at all of us, the book is finished and is now in the hands of my estimable editor, Elayne of Serenity Editing. Once Elayne polishes my painful prose to perfection (she would hate that sentence!), I will do another run through to incorporate her edits and suggestions.

Publication date is set for 28 February 2021. I will be setting up a pre-order for this book. I’m touchy about pre-orders, since delays can anger the Amazonians, but I love it when fans show their support by pre-ordering one of Luna’s books.

Speaking of fans, I haven’t forgotten the fans who submitted ideas for the updated title on the book. As soon as formatting is completed, you will receive a free copy of the book. I appreciate your patience while I worked through the delays.

I have the best fans in the world.

Looking into the future, the next book in the series will be Lycan Legacy – Penumbra. I have about 25K written on this book and it has some of my favorite scenes of the entire series. The opening is a fight between Luna and a bear who isn’t a bear, followed by more Luna action.

That book is scheduled for release on 31 March. I’ll put out a teaser first chapter in March.

Aren’t you glad that 2020 is in the rear-view mirror? I am.

2020 was one of the most disruptive years of my life. There were home moves, medical emergencies, and quarantines. Despite that, 2020 was my second most productive year so far.

For those interested in the writing process, here are some of my numbers for 2020.

Most productive month – September 2020 – 28,000 words

Least productive month – December 2020 – 511 words

Average words per month – 16,000 words

Compared to the writing superstars like Amanda Lee, I’m a slow, slow writer. But I’m not Amanda Lee, I’m Veronica. The race is only against myself. Compared to previous years, I have ramped up production.

I’m thankful 2020 is in the rear-view mirror. But you cannot move forward while looking backward. From now on, I’m going to concentrate on what’s ahead, new adventures for Luna, Mason, and Mike.

I sincerely hope you will join us for the next few chapters in our adventures.   Take a look at my brand new Facebook page here:
