The past week has been a whirlwind of activity, just the way we thrive on it. Our fourth grandchild has been keeping us on our toes, reminding us why the toddler years are fondly referred to as the “terrible twos.” She firmly believes that the floor is the rightful place for all her toys. While this makes perfect sense to her, it turns navigating the living room into a minefield adventure.
Despite the chaos, her charming smiles and contagious laughter fill our hearts with joy. Consequently, this week has been less about productivity and more about cherishing these precious moments. My crowning achievement has been setting up a standing desk and finalizing the Italian translation of a Luna short story. The standing desk is a necessary measure to safeguard my computer, monitors, and trinkets, which have been reclassified as “toys” by my newest collaborator.
Now, let's discuss the translation project. One of my all-time favorite short stories is Lycan Legacy – Hot Summer Night in Las Vegas. Last month, I offered this short story as a free offering on Bookfunnel, and it was downloaded over 150 times. A big thank you to all who downloaded and enjoyed the story.
Recognizing that my Italian fans didn't have the same opportunity to access this story for free, I dedicated a week to translating and fine-tuning the story into Italian. The result is a version that I am truly proud of, now available on Amazon as Lycan Legacy – Solstizio: Nel Cuore Dell'Estate A Las Vegas: Un Racconto Breve.
Why not offer the story on Bookfunnel for my Italian fans? The platform isn't as popular in Italy, and I wanted to ensure potential readers could easily locate and download the short story. To sweeten the deal for my Italian-speaking fans, I'm offering the short story completely free for five days, from 26 June to 30 June. Don't miss out on this freebie frenzy!
